Stepping into 'THEIR' Shoes
Though, India is known as a country with diversity, there is still one thing that India is highly ignorant about: Liberalism. I remember, when I was younger, and was making my way through the streets everyday, there was something that I was particularly very scared of. I used to always try and take the alternate route to try and keep my distance whenever it was spotted. Although it was completely harmless, I used to think of it as something inhuman, or apart from the community. That was... 'The Hijra Community.' Now that I've grown up enough to be able to access a wider perspective of the world, I have come to realize that i was so wrong to consider the Hijras outsiders. Or was I?
