Stepping into 'THEIR' Shoes

Though, India is known as a country with diversity, there is still one thing that India is highly ignorant about: Liberalism.
I remember, when I was younger, and was making my way through the streets everyday, there was something that I was particularly very scared of. I used to always try and take the alternate route to try and keep my distance whenever it was spotted. Although it was completely harmless, I used to think of it as something inhuman, or apart from the community. That was... 'The Hijra Community.'
Now that I've grown up enough to be able to access a wider perspective of the world, I have come to realize that i was so wrong to consider the Hijras outsiders. Or was I? Was it my fault that i was not educated about the different and unique creations of God who are more or less, Just Like Us!
We live in a world where sui generis ideas of living are not easily accepted. But in the end, we need to realize that we all are humans with flesh, blood and bones. The only things that differentiates us is our 'Difference in Thought Process.'
Every living being has a right to live life in a way which makes them happy. Hence, abandoning the Hijras and people like them out of the community due to difference in thoughts is something that needs to be changed.
If not accept, we should atleast respect their decisions and 'Live and Let Live'. This can only happen when the coming generation is well educated about our anomalous world and only then we will be able go accept the sui generis and live in unison with differentiation!
