To A Better Life

Everybody wants a life filled with sparkle and glitter, A life with flavours, sweet and spicy,  but nothing bitter. But, what is the secret to a better life? Where you walk on flower beds and not a knife? For that, you don't need endless prayers rituals and fasts, The only thing is, live your life to the fullest, until it lasts! Wake up every morning,  with a smile on your face, Push yourself to be happy, not the best, because life is a journey, not a race! Be kind to everyone, value your relations, Live in harmony, because in the end, 'He' is the only Designer, and we are 'his' creations. Give your best in everything and let not obstacles stop you, Don't be afraid of failure,  because every lesson teaches you something new! What is fame and wealth? It's just a delusion, Remember, that everything keeps changing, nothing is permanent in life's institution. But life cannot always be sugar, spice and everything nice, Our life is like the moo...

The Ripest Peach

Her stomach growled into the night as she tried to maintain her calm and go to sleep. She thought this was for the best, for her best. She decided to starve herself so that people would accept her as a part of the 'normal' world. As she lay there with an empty stomach,  staring into the darkness, she reflected back to her childhood days, being the super skinny kid that she was, she was catcalled by several names. People would often take her for being 'weak' or children would call her a runt, titch, matchstick and what not. At that point she started assuming that there was something wrong with 'Her' and that she needed to change in order for people to accept her and stop picking on her. As she grew, that once tiny skinny kid was now growing up into a mature girl. There were changes in her, not only physically but mentally. As she was introduced to the world outside her school walls, she started experiencing new things, like those two pedals were now replaced b...

The Purest Form Of God

This is the story of God, in his most purest form, In the presence of whom, everything feels warm. That energy makes disaster turn into success, All it needs to do is put a hand on your head and bless. Not many are blessed with this energy and those who are don't realize its worth, Trust me, that energy is everything that is right on this earth! It's love is unconditional, with a heart made of gold, To bear the immoral and this is the gold which will never get sold! You will ask me, what is this energy? I'll tell you, It is that morning alarm which rings everyday without being set, It is that extra food in your tiffin, which will be the tastiest food without a bet, It is that call after every two hours to check up on you, And it is that dress that you wore in your childhood that it sew. It is that confidence that you didn't have in yourself, It ignites the ray of hope which everyone tries to find in themselves. It is found in all parts of the world in dif...

Tip of the Iceberg!

There's one quote that reads " Judging a person doesn't define who they are, it defines who you are !". There are all kinds of people in this World:- Tall, Short, Hindu, Muslim, Asian, American and so on. Yet there are some people who are known as 'The Judgementals'.           Those are the kind of people who are not identified by their colour, race, ethnicity or religion, but by their ' Lack of Acceptance to other people's opinions and interests. ' Their features include passing a comment on each and everything without knowing the reality and creating an opinion about someone or something on the basis of assumptions. ' The Judgementals ' forget that we live in a world filled with ' Diversity' which literally means ' A range of DIFFERENT THINGS !'         This is something for 'The Judgementals' :-  Imagine if the world is made of on...

Stepping into 'THEIR' Shoes

Though, India is known as a country with diversity, there is still one thing that India is highly ignorant about: Liberalism.       I remember, when I was younger, and was making my way through the streets everyday, there was something that I was particularly very scared of. I used to always try and take the alternate route to try and keep my distance whenever it was spotted. Although it was completely harmless, I used to think of it as something inhuman, or apart from the community. That was... 'The Hijra Community.'       Now that I've grown up enough to be able to access a wider perspective of the world, I have come to realize that i was so wrong to consider the Hijras outsiders. Or was I? Was it my fault that i was not educated about the different and unique creations of God who are more or less, Just Like Us ! We live in a world where sui generis ideas of living are not easily accepted. But in the end, w...
