LOVE

In this world filled with diversity, war, hatred and division, the only term that is socially acceptable and practiced despite all religions is 'love'.

No matter where we go, love is something that we'll find anywhere and everywhere. But even though the term love is accepted world wide, it too has gotten humanized in many ways. When it comes to animals and other spieces, love is  just an emotion, which if they have, they never fail to express and if they don't, they don't even try to. But when it comes to humans, love comes with it's 'terms and conditions applied.'

There are different hierarchies and levels of love that humans feel for different people and things.
It's not even like there are a universal set of terms and conditions that get applied to the emotion, they differ from person to person and for person to person.

I would say that the media industry today is booming because of this emotion 'love'. It's not just an emotion anymore, it's a marketing strategy. Love is marketed in so many different ways at so many different levels that we have created an unrealistic dilusion of the idea in our minds that doesn't meet the human standards and capacities. This is one of the main reasons why people these days try to run from the idea of love, thinking that either they are incompetent of fulfilling the needs of a person or the person in front of them isn't capable of meeting their standards of love.

During all this, we somewhere forget that love is an emotion which is supposed to make the world a beautiful place and that we are alive because of love.Imagine not feeling empathy for anyone, not even yourself. Will you be able to survive? Whatever love that is left in the world balances the hatred and the negativity that is filled in this world, and that's why we are alive. That little bit of love, gives us hope which is very hard to find in all this darkness. Otherwise, there was no reason for existence.

Now, many people will think that love has become way more overrated because of media, but infact, it's the most underrated power in the world. I say power because this emotion has the energy to make or break the entire human species.

We have heard stories like soldiers sacrificing their lives for their 'love' for the country and also stories like a 50 year old man killing a 14 year old girl because she refused to 'love' him. We are like the superheroes of this world who have not only been given the power of love, but also mediums like touch, sense of mind and speech to express it. But lately, we have somehow turned into villains who misuse this eternal power. We are so delusioned by our own power that we have lost touch with reality, and all we strive to do is run after the la la land which doesn't even exist. Creating delusions in the mind is easy, looking for love in whatever you have been given is hard. But these delusions, although beautiful and easy are temporary.
Even though searching for that love is hard, and you may even fall and hurt yourself, but it will only make you  stronger and in the end, when you reach the finish line of that struggle and you are awarded with that true eternal love, you will realize that all that struggle and lessons were just passing paragraphs of the fairytale that you yourself built and not those unrealistic delusions that the world tried to pound on you.

Try and realize that love is not a delusion and realize that the person in front you is not your knight in shining armour from someone else's fairytale.
Love is an emotion that is to be felt through the soul and it should uplift both you and the person in front of you and it's not uplifting even one of you, then there's something wrong. Look beyond that knight in shining armour, and look at that knight as human, and give them the love that you want from them, and you won't have to keep imagining your fairytale, you will start living it, without even knowing.
