The Heart is Not Made of Glass

There are some people who, when experiencing a bad break up, will completely devoid themselves from the concept of love and affection. They claim to have turned their hearts to stone because one amongst billions of other people has broken their heart and left it wounded. These people, who once used to give up everything in the world to just spend time with their partner have now given up the idea of love from their life.

By doing this, you are not turning your heart into stone, you are just closing it's open door to the world. Inside that door is a soul that craves for attention, for love and respect but you suppress it by making the lock tighter with each heartbreak.

I would like to tell these people something. Life, is not meant to be perfect and it sure is not meant to stay with you forever. If you are living on this Earth, you are going to have to leave it at some point, whether you like it or not. In such a case, where our own life is not in our hands, how do we expect someone else's life to be ours forever?

There are bad people in this world who make you feel bad and there are also good people in this world who balance that bad by being good. Human connection is stronger than the strongest internet connection. That human connection opens up so many pages of our soul that we may have never known.
It doesn't matter if we don't get it right in the first go or even at our 20th go. But each time we experience a failure, if nothing at all, we at least grow.

So, I would like to tell you not to give up on love. Love is everywhere and love is why we exist on this planet. If not found in your partner, you will find love when you get back home after a bad day and your family is waiting to greet you. You will find love in that speechless animal which will wag it's tail in joy everytime it sees you. You will find love in that first rain of the season that will turn a barren land into a meadow in no time. You will find love in that sun which although sets in the evening, will rise up again the next day to give you hope.

So, don't turn your heart into stone because someone did not care for it, start caring for it yourself first, it's your heart after all. Infact, turn your heart into a phoenix who rises from the ashes with more grace everytime that it burns itself because of love. Do not suppress that phoenix and put it behind bars, let it go, let it spread it's wings and soar high up in the sky, let it fall in love with it's own flight and let it just enjoy the flow of the wind. Don't put it back in everytime it falls while flying. If you deprive it of it's only abilities, it will go on believing that it's not worth having them.

Just like that, keep reminding yourself about all those days when you gave your best in love. When you cared for someone so much that it made them happy. Keep reminding your heart of it's abilities and just keep telling it one thing. "You have been hurt before and still you chose to take the risk again. So what if the person in front of you did not value it? Your heart is capable of doing so much that you haven't yet explored. Just imagine what will happen when this heart is found by the right soul? Wait for it, it will be worth it."

When that day comes, you will realize, that life is not just worth one shot, it's a series of multiple shots which will open your soul to a new space everytime you decide to go for it. Keep exploring, life is much more than a heartbreak.
